Stephen Covey is undoubtedly the most read writer across the world. I being a reader by choice, have read his most famous book, 7 habits of highly effective people. It was BORING and seemed to just not get over. It felt like it was a useless piece of crap. But life is mean and so my new recruiter had a pre-set of conditions which including reading the same book & taking a week long workshop based on it. Here I was, back to square one. Din't have a way to budge an inch. They handed me a copy of the book, ordering - "read"! A week went by and I was bored to death but finished the book. Happily I returned to my boss saying, "hey, I'm done!" & he smiled back and said, " Okay, great! Here, this one now!" And he handed me a copy of Sean Covey's book, 7 habit of highly effective teens. Gosh, I wasn't a teen anymore, for God's sake. But, this time around, it was easier for me to read because the guy had written the book for teens and hence was full of pictures, poems etc. Slowly, I became interested in the book and got so involved that I wouldn't look p until my neck hurt :)
I found a deep connection in the way I led my life and the way the book intended to guide the teens on living their lives. So, I thought I'd share with all of you, the success stories across the world and how to be successful in your own defined way. You may not be willing to be Einstein but the good news is, you don't need to be Einstein when you can be YOU! A must read for all you guys and gals still under your 30's :) and a pleasure read for all you people after that age group!
