We Are Wo-Men not to Woo-Men!

With International Women's Day by the corner, it seems so inappropriate to be a lady. I feel privileged at times or like trash at other times, why can't I not feel "normal"? Everyone are God's own kids, why celebrate a women's day in so much glory and waste a heck lot of money to show the world " the power of pink".
If we really must celebrate something, why not celebrate humanity? Why not let urban women (who are very enthusiastic on throwing cocktail charity parties) go and stay and learn and share and grow with the rural ladies? Nah, we are too uber to do that.
We call ourselves "modern women". Are we, really? Look at us, we are a bunch of fashionistas, style addicts who keep a maid at home to work & than go the gym to workout and burn those extra kilos gained at a fast food joint. How hypocritical can we get? I'm a woman of substance, do we need to keep saying this time and again? Or should we really do what people with positive energy do?
A lot has been said, celebrated and discussed about women upliftment but why uplift a particular gender, class or religion of a society when we all need it. All we need is a better world to live and leave as a legacy and no gender, caste or creed can do it alone. Joint efforts of every one in making things work will surely count.
Let's stop testing and start assessing, let's stop ignoring and start being responsible, let's not interfere but help, let's not sympathize but be empathetic - let's be lesser man/lady but be more human.
Happy Women's Day to every one, all beings!
