Book Review: I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY By Ravinder SIngh

Simple Lucid style of writing and intense emotional vigor is the soul of this book. The sail through the book is very smooth and the transit from one phase to the other is unimaginably entertaining. It can make a person feel nostalgically connected to the writer. Romance has been playfully introduced and the word play has a major role to play in making this book successful. The  journal entries (probably from the authors personal diary) make the reading more interesting.
The story is a real life narration of Ravin (Ravinder Singh) and his to-be fiance Khushi They seem to have met on an online matrimony portal and took an instant liking from the first telephonic conversation it self. They start phone dating each other and fall in love even before meeting! Their first meeting is ecstatic and the description of feelings that go through within their hearts and minds is beautifully portrayed. They keep falling in love with each other again and again. Both the families meet and their engagement is decided leaving both of them on cloud nine. Every detailed preparation for the engagement is done and they both await the most eventful evening of their lives which was supposed to fall on the valentines day. 2 days before the evening, Khushi meets with a fatal accident that puts her up in an ICU. The bond of love is so strong between the couple that Ravin ensures his presence throughout Khushi's treatment leaving aside all the other things of his life like his family, friends and work. He prays day and night for her well-being, dreams of the day he would hear her voice again, longs to see her awake. But as fate had it, Khushi passes away just when Ravin goes back to his town to bring along her mother to see Khushi. Just before he receives a call from Khushi's dad informing about the horrifying news, he dreams of his engagement to Khushi. His heart is engulfed with sorrow and mind with unknown fear. Even after Khushi's last rites are performed, he is not able to come to terms with the fact that his beautiful lady love is no more. He misses her every day, every moment of his life. His work life gets back to normal almost a year after the fateful event and people start expecting him to think about marriage yet again, but, love changes all & so did he!
The novel ends with a mystery on what does he do next, to reveal that, he's written a sequel, Can Love Happen Twice?
